We’ve officially reached fall, and while that means cooler temperatures and pumpkin everything for most of us, it also means great credit card welcome offers.
Especially if you’re already looking ahead to a season of higher spending, now is the time to grab a new card to earn some bonus rewards on upcoming holiday costs. After all, having a stash of bonus points is the easiest way to treat yourself to a getaway when the winter temperatures hit!
Here’s what we’re especially excited about this month:
- For a limited time, the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card is offering $900 cash back after you spend $6,000 in the first three months from account opening — a remarkable value for a card with no annual fee. Plus, this bonus more than doubles in value — to a whopping $1,845, according to our September 2024 valuations — if you also have a more premium Chase credit card and take that bonus as 90,000 Ultimate Rewards points instead of cash back, which can unlock Chase’s full range of hotel and airline transfer partners. This matches the card’s best-ever offer, so now is the time to apply if you want to add this card to your wallet. It is part of Chase’s family of business cards, but keep in mind that you don’t have to have a traditional business to qualify. Many side hustles, such as selling items online, are enough to qualify.
- Six Delta Air Lines cards are offering fantastic welcome bonuses right now. The Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card’s offer, which allows new cardmembers to earn 80,000 bonus miles after spending $3,000 in the first six months of card membership, is especially good. This is the best offer we’ve seen on this card, so now is the time to apply if you’ve been on the fence. But if you want even more Delta perks, you can’t go wrong with the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card or the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card — both of which are offering excellent bonuses as well.
- All three of Southwest Airlines’ personal cobranded cards — the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card, Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card and Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card — are offering a limited-time bonus of 85,000 Rapid Rewards points after you spend $3,000 in the first three months of account opening. Even better, these bonus points count toward Companion Pass qualification. If you can, we recommend waiting until after your December closing date to complete your spending requirement. This gives you the best chance of your bonus points hitting in January, which would help you earn the Companion Pass early in 2025 and keep it through the rest of 2025 and 2026.
- And finally, if you have a small business with significant expenses, you’ll want to consider the Capital One Spark Cash Plus. Right now, it’s offering new cardholders a $2,000 cash bonus after you spend $30,000 in the first three months from account opening, plus an additional $2,000 cash bonus for every $500,000 spent during the first year. This is an especially high spending requirement, but $2,000 is one of the best offers currently available. If your business is spending that much anyway, this is a great way to get a strong return on your expenses.
