When it comes to the best business-class products, Qatar Airways Qsuites will almost always be top of mind for most travelers.

One of the best ways to book these seats is through the American Airlines AAdvantage program, which will cost 70,000 miles with low taxes and fees. If you then want to continue on to the Maldives, for example, you can add another leg for no additional cost — making this the ultimate way to achieve the vacation of your dreams.

But finding award availability for these highly coveted seats can be a tall order. Fortunately, there's wide-open award availability throughout 2022 from various cities, as first reported by View from the Wing. Let's take a look.

How to book Qatar Airways awards with miles

Head over to American Airlines' website and enter the desired departure and arrival destinations along with any of the listed dates above. Be sure to check "Redeem Miles" to see redemption rates.

You'll want to double-check the seat map to ensure that your aircraft contains the Qsuite business class, and you'll want to keep checking until your departure to ensure the airline didn't perform a last-minute equipment swap.

Besides flying the carrier and its Oneworld partners, you can earn miles through a cobranded American Airlines credit card, through the AAdvantage shopping or dining portals, through American's partnership with Hyatt and more — be sure to read our guide on the best ways to earn AAdvantage miles.

Bottom line

Using your AAdvantage miles to fly in the Qatar Airways Qsuite will easily be one of your best redemptions. With award availability relatively wide open in 2022, you can make that dream possible by booking that trip while award space is still available.

If you don't have a stockpile of AAdvantage miles (and since the loyalty program doesn't participate in any major credit card issuer transfer programs), you can also book through British Airways Avios and Cathay Pacific's Asia Miles, though there will be some pretty significant fuel surcharges and taxes on top of your redemption.
