It's no secret in the points and miles world that the World of Hyatt program is one of the best in the industry. With top-notch elite benefits and strong rewards, World of Hyatt is the go-to program for many. Plus, with the availability of both a consumer credit card and a business credit card, earning World of Hyatt points is easy.
Now is a good time to add one of these cards to your wallet, as the sign-up offers on both Hyatt cards are higher than usual. Currently, the World of Hyatt Credit Card is offering a sign-up bonus of up to 65,000 bonus points. You can earn 35,000 bonus points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in your first three months from account opening. Additionally, you can earn up to 30,000 more bonus points by earning 2 bonus points total per dollar spent in the first six months from account opening on purchases that normally earn 1 bonus point (on up to $15,000 spent).
If you're eligible for a business credit card, you can earn a sign-up bonus of up to 75,000 bonus points with the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card. Specifically, you can earn up to 75,000 World of Hyatt bonus points: 60,000 bonus points after spending $5,000 within the first three months from account opening, plus 15,000 bonus points after spending $12,000 in the first six months from account opening.. While this might sound like a lot of spending on paper, earning the full bonus should be easily obtainable if your business generally spends at least $2,000 a month on credit cards.

But once you earn the points, how should you spend them? Fortunately, the World of Hyatt award chart is favorable, and your points can take you pretty far. Based on TPG's valuations, World of Hyatt points are worth 1.7 cents each. So, 75,000 bonus points are worth around $1,275.
However, there is one caveat to understand about the World of Hyatt award chart: It uses peak, standard and off-peak pricing. This means during peak periods at a certain property, you'll spend slightly more points per night. However, if you can travel during off-peak dates, your points will go further, as the number of points required per night will be less. If you have flexibility, you can view the Hyatt Points Calendar via a desktop browser (it won't work in the Hyatt app) to see the per-night points rate at each property.
Now, let's look at how you could redeem 75,000 World of Hyatt points on stays.
Stay 5 nights at the Grand Hyatt Washington
For 75,000 points, you might be able to stay for a full five nights in the heart of Washington, D.C., at the Grand Hyatt. This hotel is a Category 4 hotel, so award nights cost 15,000 points on dates with standard pricing.
The Grand Hyatt Washington is within walking distance of the White House, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and the U.S. Capitol. That's a lot of ground to cover, but the hotel's location makes it easier than staying elsewhere in the city.
If you want to split up your stay with some time outside the city, combine your Grand Hyatt stay with a few nights at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina, which is less than two hours from D.C. Although it's a Category 5 property, where a standard night will cost you 20,000 points, you may be able to use 75,000 Hyatt points to stay two nights exploring the city and two nights relaxing at the resort.

Stay 4 nights at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar
With eight pools, a water park and crystal-clear waters, the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is a luxurious option in the Bahamas. As such, prepare for sticker shock, as the hotel isn't cheap, and the taxes and fees add up quickly. That is where redeeming Hyatt points comes into play.
After meeting the minimum spending requirements to earn the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card sign-up offer — which requires $12,000 of spending within the first six months to earn the full bonus — you'll earn at least 87,000 points (75,000 points from the bonus and at least 12,000 points from credit card spending).
The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is a Category 6 World of Hyatt property, so you'll need to redeem 25,000 points a night on standard dates. If you can travel during off-peak dates, the property costs just 21,000 points per night.
With the points from your new card, you could book a three-night stay during standard dates or a full four nights during off-peak dates. Best of all, Hyatt waives resort fees on award stays — and resort fees are a cost that can add up quickly at this property.
My family stayed four nights at this property a few years back, and it was the perfect amount of time. The property offers some amazing suites if you have any Hyatt suite upgrade awards in your account (which you can earn starting at the 40 nights or 65,000 base points Hyatt Milestone Rewards threshold).

Stay 2 nights at the Topping Rose House
If you've always dreamed of a weekend stay in the Hamptons, now is your chance to book it. Thanks to Hyatt's current partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World — though it will eventually end once SLH's new partnership with Hilton begins — you can redeem your Hyatt points at some otherwise inaccessible properties. One is the Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton, New York. It's on a beautiful property with posh rooms.
At 40,000 to 45,000 points a night on standard and peak dates, you'll burn through your bonus quickly at this Hyatt Category 8 hotel. Still, redeeming Hyatt points might be worthwhile to save you from paying a whopping $1,000 to $2,000 per night during peak dates.

Stay 3 nights at the all-inclusive Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana
If you're looking for an all-inclusive vacation, you can use your Hyatt points at the Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. At 25,000 points per night on standard dates, two guests per room can stay, eat, drink and relax for three nights at this Hyatt Category C property using 75,000 Hyatt points.
On the beautiful Macao Beach, you'll experience crystal-clear blue waters and gorgeous white sand. The resort offers over a dozen bars and restaurants, plus nightly entertainment. There are also four pools, a lazy river and a water park — perfect for all ages.
If you're looking for a vacation where you never have to take out your wallet, this is the perfect opportunity. With more than 100 all-inclusive properties within the Hyatt portfolio, there are also plenty of other places to redeem your points throughout Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and Europe.

Stay 11 nights at the Hyatt Place Rogers/Bentonville
With Hyatt Category 2 properties costing only 6,500 to 9,500 points a night, you can redeem 75,000 points to stay up to 11 nights at many properties within the Hyatt umbrella. One of my favorites is the Hyatt Place Rogers/Bentonville.
While the Hyatt Place Rogers/Bentonville doesn't scream luxury, it can be an interesting off-the-beaten-path domestic destination. Nowadays, there's a ton to do in northwest Arkansas. From the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art to mountain biking in the Ozarks, you can easily keep a family or group of friends entertained.
Best of all, for those looking for a weekend getaway, this property primarily offers off-peak pricing over the weekends. It's the weekdays where you'll see the higher pricing.

Upgrade your stay with a club room
Finally, at some properties, you can use points to upgrade your room to a club room. Doing so will get you a potentially better room and give you access to the hotel's club lounge (if the hotel offers one).
Hyatt Globalist status already gives you club lounge access, and you can also earn club access awards through Hyatt Milestone Rewards. If you don't fall into either category, know you can use Hyatt points for upgraded rooms.
With the current World of Hyatt award chart, you can redeem between 2,000 and 10,000 more points per night — depending on the hotel category — to book a club award instead of a standard room award. Or, if you booked an eligible paid rate, you might be able to redeem just 3,000 points per night alongside your paid rate to secure club lounge access.
While all properties operate their lounges slightly differently, Hyatt is known to have properties with some pretty incredible lounges. For example, during a recent family trip to the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino, my family could enjoy daily breakfast and a handful of dinners in the lounge. It saved us a ton of money while also making mealtime significantly easier with the kids.
