As TPG’s senior hotel reporter, I’ve had the chance to spend a lot (and I mean a lot) of time at all-inclusive resorts over my four-year tenure here. But when Marriott announced the first-ever W-branded all-inclusive resort a few years back, I figured it would go one of two ways: Marriott would slap on some logos and it would be the same old same old — or it would be a game changer.
After finally getting the chance to visit the adults-only property, I can firmly say it’s one of my favorite all-inclusive resorts I’ve visited.
You’ll have to read my full review to get all the specifics, but I can tell you these three highlights:
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I think we’re entering the golden age of all-inclusive resorts. And if you’re an all-inclusive naysayer, just think about how much fun you could have when you’re not worried about how much your spicy margs cost.
And on behalf of the entire TPG family scattered around the world, I wish you and your friends and family a wonderful Thanksgiving, wherever and however you celebrate.
