March 22, 2025

You may be eligible and not even realize it

Happy Saturday, TPG readers! I hope your weekend is getting off to a great start.

We’ve seen some eye-popping credit card welcome offers on business cards lately. There are bonuses of well over 100,000 points or miles out there that could set you up to take the trip of a lifetime for free or at a solid discount.

You may have noticed that many of these stellar bonuses are found on business credit cards. But don’t let that keep you from applying.

You don’t have to run a company with multiple employees to be eligible. You can qualify as someone who’s self-employed, a freelancer or an independent contractor. Did you know pet sitting, selling items online or doing odd jobs could make you eligible for a business credit card?

Consider the Capital One Venture X Business, which is currently offering new cardholders a hefty 150,000 miles after they spend $30,000 in the first three months from account opening.

When you transfer these Capital One miles to a partner like Air France-KLM Flying Blue, where lie-flat business-class award seats can be booked for 60,000 Flying Blue miles, you could easily get up to $2,775 in value, per TPG’s March 2025 valuations.

American Express is offering lucrative bonuses on two of its business cards.

The Business Platinum Card® from American Express comes with 150,000 bonus points after you spend $20,000 in eligible purchases in the first three months of card membership.

Those 150,000 points could easily get you two one-way business-class seats between the U.S. and Europe when you book through one of Amex’s valuable transfer partners, such as Qantas Frequent Flyer or Air Canada Aeroplan.

Or, you could opt for the American Express® Business Gold Card, offering 100,000 points after you spend $15,000 on eligible purchases in the first three months of card membership. That’s worth up to $2,000, based on TPG valuations.

When it comes to hotel rewards, the IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card recently rolled out its best-ever welcome bonus. You can earn up to 200,000 bonus points — 140,000 when you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening, and 60,000 more points after spending $9,000 in the first six months from account opening.

Don’t miss out on these incredible bonuses.

See you tomorrow,
