Whether you’re traveling for work or pleasure, there’s nothing better than getting to sit in the suites and pods at the front of the plane. No, not business class; I’m talking even farther up front — in first class.
Back when I was a points newbie, I scored a first-class ticket on British Airways from New Delhi to London and felt like a king. Now, I always have my eyes set on some of the most coveted, over-the-top first-class experiences: In Singapore Airlines’ first-class cabin, you basically have your own living room complete with a recliner, free-flowing Dom Perignon and plenty of space to spread out. Emirates’ 777 Game Changer first-class suite is another fully enclosed stunner with cash rates easily coming out to over $20,000 for some routes.
Earning American Express Membership Rewards points on these cards means I can keep an eye on transfer partners for award availability, including Singapore’s KrisFlyer, a program that I’d otherwise never have points in without transferring them from American Express at a 1:1 ratio.
