Get a Hilton free night certificate with these offers
by Emily Thompson, Newsletter & Partnerships Editor
I love earning a stash of points when I open a new card, but I especially love earning Hilton free night certificates because, unlike certificates from some other hotel brands, they’re good for virtually any standard room rate — meaning you can choose an expensive property to squeeze the most value from your free night.
The no-annual-fee Hilton Honors American Express Card (see rates and fees) offers 70,000 Hilton points and a free night certificate after you spend $2,000 in the first six months. You can take advantage of that welcome offer until July 31. You’ll also get perks like bonus earnings on Hilton stays and complimentary Silver elite status.
But if you want even higher earning rates and more Hilton perks, you’ll want to go for the Hilton Honors Surpass card.
Right now, it’s offering new cardmembers 130,000 Hilton points and a free night reward after you spend $3,000 in the first six months. That offer runs until July 31. With this card, you’ll get more valuable perks like complimentary Gold elite status and up to $200 in Hilton statement credits each year. Plus, in addition to the one in the welcome offer, this card lets you earn a free night reward after you spend $15,000 on eligible purchases each calendar year.
