Hilton's third property in French Polynesia has historic roots and island views: Hilton Hotel Tahiti
Hilton has opened its third property in French Polynesia, with the debut of the 200-room Hilton Hotel Tahiti. The hotel is located two miles from Tahiti’s Fa’a’ā International Airport (PPT), on a historic site that used to belong to Tahiti's royal family.

Originally built in 1960 as Hotel Tahiti, the property was the first in the destination to earn an international following. Through the years, it hosted celebrities, royals and high-profile politicians.

Six decades later, Hilton's extensive renovations have transformed the property, with an emphasis on open-air public spaces, natural light and ocean views. Design details feature light woods, a neutral color palette and a modern take on island-inspired decor.
The reimagined property offers a boutique spa, the largest pool in Tahiti and three dining venues. Additional new features include cabanas and a poolside restaurant with views of Moorea Island.

Booking: For a January stay, Hilton Hotel Tahiti will set you back from 80,000 Hilton Honors points per night (rates from $344).
