It's the gift that keeps on giving: Clear, the expedited airport security program, is allowing certain members the opportunity to gift up to five new users the chance to try Clear for free for three months.

This is a targeted, limited offer sent to existing Clear users, so be sure to check your email for a unique code, which you can then send to your friends or family.

To send this offer to a new Clear user, you can either copy the code in the email you received or forward them the email instead. New users should click on "Claim Offer" to register and start taking advantage of Clear.

CLEAR

Those targeted for this promotion can share their unique code with up to five different people, including family members, now through Nov. 30. After their three-month trial has elapsed, memberships will automatically renew for a yearly membership for $189 per year. However, new users can cancel anytime before their free trial ends.

As a reminder, Clear is currently available at more than 45 airports nationwide. Clear members begin the security screening process in a Clear-only lane, where they are biometrically identified via fingerprint or iris scans, sparing them from having to show their ID at any time during screening.

Clear users are then taken to the front of the line for the security screening machines — either the front of the TSA PreCheck screening line for those with Clear and PreCheck or the front of the normal Transportation Security Administration screening line.

CLEAR

Though an annual individual membership to Clear costs $189, Clear's family plan enables you to add up to three adult family members to your primary membership for $60 per person per year.

There are a few credit cards that cover the cost of a Clear membership among their benefits, including The Platinum Card® from American Express, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, The Centurion Card from American Express and now The American Express® Green Card.

The information for The Centurion Card from American Express has been collected independently by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

Additionally, some credit cards reduce your annual Clear membership cost via statement credits, along with discounted or free memberships from both United Airlines and Delta Air Lines for their frequent flyers.

This is a pretty cool perk just in time for Thanksgiving travel this week and next, when the TSA expects as many as 2.5 million passengers at security checkpoints on Wednesday, Nov. 23, and even more on Sunday, Nov. 27 — which is typically the busiest travel day of the year.

If you didn't receive this email, remember that TPG offers a free two-month trial of Clear for new users.
