Hyatt’s adding 100 all-inclusive resorts to its portfolio — here are the ones we’re most excited about
Options are good to have. And whether you’re a fan of all-inclusive resorts or not, it’s hard to deny the appeal of the points redemption doors opening to World of Hyatt members soon with the recent news of Hyatt buying up 100 all-inclusive properties.
While there’s no news yet on how many points will be required to stay at the new all-inclusive properties joining the Hyatt brand -- including Secrets, Dreams, Breathless, Zoetry, Sunscape and Alua Resorts -- we’d be lying if we said we weren’t excited at the idea of cashing in Hyatt points for an all-inclusive stay someplace like Corfu or Ibiza soon.
Read on for a few of the forthcoming all-inclusive Hyatt resorts we’re most looking forward to booking once the redemptions are announced (watch this space for news of those updates as soon as they're in).

Heading to Spain or Greece? Look at these Alua Hotels
Americans don't tend to think of Europe as a destination for an all-inclusive resort stay. But the addition of several Alua Hotels properties (part of the AMR Collection that Hyatt just acquired) in Spain and Greece to Hyatt's portfolio might make you reconsider.
Alua Plagos Beach Hotel
On the island of Zakynthos (also called Zante), brimming with Instagrammable beaches, the 161-room Alua Plagos Beach Hotel has three outdoor swimming pools and hard-to-beat views from a hillside overlooking the Mediterranean.
All rooms have terraces for taking in the vistas. And a kids’ pool and babysitting services make this hotel a popular pick with families.
The beach just below the property is excellent for swimming and sunbathing. And famous Navagio Beach (aka Shipwreck Beach) is a 15-minute drive south (and just as pretty in person as on social media). All-inclusive rates wrap in three daily meals, drinks and themed shows at night, among other entertainment.
Alua Sol Ibiza
Ibiza is a party island, to be sure, and that's true mostly during the summertime.
But it's also home to inimitable land and seascapes, with nature at every turn. And for an adults-only, all-inclusive stay on the island, we have our eyes on the Alua Sol Ibiza, astride Es Canar Beach, north of Ibiza town on the island's northeast coast.
Open to guests 16 and up only, the hotel has a modern design aesthetic, with blonde woods and white furnishings, and a similarly minimalist-looking wellness zone with an indoor pool, hydro massage bath and sauna. Meals, snacks and drinks are part of the all-inclusive package, which also includes access to the wellness zone and one dinner per week at the resort's a la carte restaurant.
Breathless Resorts & Spas in Mexico and Jamaica
In case you need another reason to jet off to Mexico or Jamaica sometime soon, these two new all-inclusive properties by Breathless will soon be able to be booked with World of Hyatt points.
Breathless Cabo San Lucas
Fronting one of Cabo's only safe-to-swim beaches (the shore pound in these parts is no joke!), Breathless Cabo San Lucas overlooks the town marina and Medano Beach.
The property's two infinity pools are the frequent scene of pool parties with DJs at the helm. And the rooftop bar is sceney, too, and has marina views for when it's time for an afternoon cocktail.
The all-inclusive rates include all dining and drinks, tips and taxes and Wi-Fi. Whale watching from Medano Beach during the winter months -- when passing humpbacks and gray whales make frequent appearances along their migration routes -- is available at no extra charge.
Breathless Montego Bay
Jerk chicken and a frosty Red Stripe are always within reach at Breathless Montego Bay, just south of the Hip Strip and less than five miles from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.
You can land here and be chilling poolside in the time it took you to get through security at your home airport. Jamaica does the all-inclusive concept to perfection, and this property is no exception, with four a la carte restaurants, a buffet and a beachside grill all wrapped into the all-inclusive rates (which also include all drinks and entertainment).
Guests also get free access to the amenities at Secrets Wild Orchid and Secret St. James, which can be reached by a sky bridge from Breathless Montego Bay and offer many more restaurant and bar options that are also all included.

Explore Costa Rica or Tulum with Dreams Resorts & Spas
Dreams Resorts & Spas goes big on the all-inclusive options. Regular guests laud the chain for its vast dining, kids club and entertainment options.
Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica
Along Costa Rica's Pacific coast, near Guanacaste National Park, Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica offers a quintessential all-inclusive beach stay with lots of adventure activities out the door.
You're less than 1.5 hours north of the Liberia airport here (much closer than flying into San Jose). And the property is surrounded by mountains and jungles and fronts Playa El Jobo, where you can enjoy included water sports like snorkeling and kayaking and even try introductory scuba diving lessons in the pool.
All-inclusive rates also include all-day access to a kids club for ages three to 12, and there's an included teens club, too, making this one a popular family pick. Couples dig Dreams, too, for its great entertainment (from dance lessons to Spanish lessons) and bountiful restaurants and bars. Among the eight included dining experiences are a gourmet Italian restaurant and seafood restaurant, a seaside grill with tropical cocktails and a swim-up pool bar.
Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa
You can get away from the cool kids and their raves known for overrunning this stretch of the Yucatan at Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa, which appeals more to families and couples than to no-limits partying types.
Just five minutes from Tulum's hippie-chic "downtown," the property fronts a pretty stretch of beach and has a waterfront pool that makes it easy to spend as much time on or near the water as possible.
The all-inclusive rates include things like top-shelf spirits, themed parties, room service and -- perhaps most exciting, if you're traveling with kids -- the resort's Explorer's Club for Kids, which will keep littles between the ages of 3 and 12 entertained from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., if you're so inclined. Guests here even get complimentary greens fees at the Riviera Maya Golf Club.
Secrets Resorts & Spa in Spain and the Dominican Republic
Secrets is known mainly for its adults-only resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. But you can add another property in Spain to your all-inclusive Hyatt options soon, too.
Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa
Off the west coast of Africa, Spain's Canary Islands are spectacularly beautiful. New to Hyatt's all-inclusive portfolio, the adults-only Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa, on Lanzarote's southeast coast, was one of the brand's first forays into Europe.
It's a beautiful property with a spa and four outdoor pools overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
There are five bars, two a la carte restaurants and a buffet restaurant, sports bar and more -- access to all of which is included in the all-inclusive rates.
Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa
Just south of Punta Cana proper in the gated surrounds of Cap Cana, Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa fronts Juanillo Beach, one of the best-looking stretches of sand in all of the Dominican Republic.
The property is sprawling, to say the least, with 547 suites, including some with swim-out suites and all with private balconies or terraces.
Spend your day snorkeling with sea turtles, playing tennis or taking Spanish or cocktail-making lessons when you're not chilling poolside or on the beach.
And look to Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts in Mexico
Zoetry excels at mixing wellness and romance, wrapped up with an all-inclusive bow. While the chain isn't adults-only, it tends to attract a quieter crowd.
Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya
Dedicated butlers and private chefs in villa-style accommodations can be part of your luxe all-inclusive experience at this Riviera Maya all-inclusive resort.
Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya pours on the tranquility and romance with sweeping ocean views, a fabulous spa with holistic wellness therapies that wrap in native Mayan treatments and three restaurants where reservations are never required.
All 100 suites here are oceanfront and have large private terraces, making them perfect for sitting with a book, ordering room service or doing nothing at all.
Zoetry Casa Del Mar Los Cabos, Mexico
Fronting the Sea of Cortez along the stretch of Cabo referred to as The Corridor -- between Cabo San Lucas and art-centric San Jose Del Cabo, to the north -- Zoetry Casa Del Mar, Los Cabos, opening in November 2021, will offer a boutique-stay vibe with all-inclusive perks.
The property will have just 60 guest rooms, all with private terraces or balconies and Sea of Cortez views.
And while Cabo hardly wants for another all-inclusive resort, we're looking forward to having a boutique-style option as appealing as this one looks like it will be -- bookable with World of Hyatt points in the future, to boot.
