Bottom line

This is an excellent deal for those traveling along the Northeast who want to avoid the hassle of getting to and from an airport. Amtrak offers all passengers two personal items and two carry-on items for free. Passengers are expected to wear face masks at all times to prevent the spread of COVID-19 consistent with federal law.

Amtrak is waiving all change fees for reservations made by Jan. 4, 2022.

Act now as this deal is short but sweet, lasting through Nov. 29.
