American Airlines’ lineup of credit cards just got a whole lot more interesting.
This week, the airline unveiled a brand-new (and badly needed) middle-of-the-road card that can get you into its airport lounges a few times a year and save you some serious cash.
For a limited time, new cardholders can earn 90,000 AAdvantage milesafter spending $5,000 or more during the first four months. That’s worth $1,395, according to TPG’s October 2025 valuations.
The AAdvantage Globe card offers a few all-new perks that are different from any benefits American currently offers on its existing cards:
Admirals Club access: Get four 24-hour passes each year.
Companion Certificate: Once a year (as long as you keep renewing your account) you can bring a companion on a qualifying flight for just $99 (plus taxes and fees). Limited to Main Cabin on domestic American flights.
Flight Streak: A new twist! After every four qualifying American flights, cardholders will earn 5,000 Loyalty Points toward AAdvantage elite status. You’re limited to three “boosts” annually — but that’s a solid boost toward status.
Plus, you can get your TSA PreCheck or Global Entry application fee reimbursed, score a free checked bag, and board American’s planes earlier than the masses. Check out our full rundown of all the card details to see if it deserves a place in your wallet.
