Mastering a dozen airline and hotel loyalty programs can be mind-numbing. So, let’s do something bold. If you’re on the points prowl but haven’t turned your currency into an actual trip, stop chasing a zillion programs.
Transfer partners provide incredible value. I regularly transfer points to Air Canada Aeroplan for great business-class award rates on Star Alliance airlines; Flying Blue for international business-class flights on Air France, KLM and other SkyTeam airlines; and World of Hyatt for luxury stays.
Transfers and redemptions are easy. Transferring points to my favorite airline and hotel loyalty programs is quick and easy.
Chase Ultimate Rewards points open the door to travel experiences that my paycheck alone wouldn’t otherwise allow, like:
A room at the Park Hyatt Kyoto in Japan (35,000 points versus $1,141 per night)
A suite at The Cape, a Thompson Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (30,000 points plus a suite upgrade award versus $620 per night)
A stay at Impression Moxche by Secrets, an all-inclusive adults-only resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico (42,000 points versus $1,254 per night)
And if you don’t already have a card that earns Ultimate Rewards points, you couldn’t pick a better time to get one. Right now, there are some incredible limited-time and elevated offers on these cards:
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card: New elevated offer of 75,000 points after you spend $5,000 in the first three months from account opening.
Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠: Limited-time offer of 200,000 bonus points after you spend $30,000 on purchases in your first six months from account opening.
