Yesterday we saw not one, but two massive, never-before-seen, six-figure offers from Chase on its premium Sapphire Reserve cards (yes, that’s now plural). There’s a lot to unpack, so let’s go!
Let’s start by recapping those big bonuses:
The newly refreshed Chase Sapphire Reserve® has its best-ever welcome offer of 100,000 bonus points plus a $500 Chase Travel℠ credit after you spend $5,000 in the first three months from account opening.
- We haven’t seen a 100,000-point offer on this card since 2016! And when combined with the travel credit, this best-ever bonus is worth more than $2,500, according to TPG’s June 2025 valuations. And that doesn’t take into account the more than $2,700 in annual value you can now get with this card’s new benefits.
Meanwhile, the brand-new Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ is offering new cardholders the biggest Ultimate Rewards bonus ever: a whopping 200,000 bonus points after you spend $30,000 in the first six months of card membership.
Remember: Chase Ultimate Rewards points are about as valuable as points get, and you can really maximize them through transfer partners — programs like World of Hyatt, where 100,000 points can just about cover five nights at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, or up to eight round-trip economy flights to London on Virgin Atlantic (plus taxes and fees).
Whew! OK, now that we’ve enjoyed the dopamine hit from seeing those incredible offers and dreaming about how we’d use the points, let’s talk about the perks of these cards.
What to know about the refreshed Chase Sapphire Reserve
I’ll admit, the new $795 annual fee for the Sapphire Reserve took me by surprise at first. But it wasn’t hard for me to come around after I saw the breakdown of the over $2,700 in annual value the card now promises. (And that’s not even counting the welcome bonus of 100,000 points plus a $500 travel credit.)
The Sapphire Reserve is really worth strongly considering if you could use things like:
- Unlimited access to Chase Sapphire and Priority Pass airport lounge locations for yourself and up to two guests
- $500 in annual statement credits for The Edit, Chase’s curated collection of luxury hotels and resorts (um, yes please!)
- $300 in annual statement credits for concert and event tickets purchased on StubHub or Viagogo (again, sign me up!)
- $300 in annual travel credit
And these are just a few of the many, many benefits and credits this card offers. Here’s where you can find a full breakdown of these benefits.
What to know about the brand-new Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business
I don’t know what is more exciting: seeing Chase add a premium offering to its business card lineup on par with The Business Platinum Card® from American Express and Capital One Venture X Business, or the fact that it has the Ultimate Rewards program’s first-ever 200,000-bonus-point welcome offer.
This card also carries a value-packed list of credits and benefits. Think: most of those same benefits mentioned above for the regular Sapphire Reserve, along with business-focused credits like up to $400 in annual statement credits for ZipRecruiter purchases and up to $200 in annual statement credits for Google Workspace purchases — to name just a couple.
So, in summary, if you’re looking to amass a pile of valuable Chase points and enjoy the premium-cardholder lifestyle, check out one or both of these amazing limited-time offers before they end!
