Qantas is an Australian airline whose Frequent Flyer program is a transfer partner of American Express Membership Rewards, Capital One and Citi ThankYou Rewards. So it can be pretty easy to come up with Qantas points if you’re a member of any of the above.
Availability for booking Emirates first class via Qantas is great, especially since base-level members of the Emirates Skywards program no longer have access to these seats.
I recently redeemed Qantas points to fly Emirates’ famous A380 first-class cabin from Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Dubai International Airport (DXB). It lived up to my sky-high expectations, with unlimited caviar, $1,200 cognac, onboard showers and a cocktail bar. Stay tuned for a full report.
With Qantas increasing the points cost and surcharges of most Emirates redemptions for bookings made from Aug. 5, this is a fantastic time to investigate the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to book one of the world’s best commercial aviation products. I’m not sure how long Emirates will be so generous giving these luxe seats to Qantas members, so book now while you still can.
