It’s Feb. 1, which means a new set of rules is now in place for those who access Delta Air Lines’ Sky Clubs via their credit cards. That means it also may be a good time to look a bit more broadly at your airport lounge strategy.
Here are some key highlights of the Delta Sky Club lounge policy changes taking effect today:
There is now a cap of either 10 or 15 annual included Sky Club visits, depending on which eligible card you enter under.
A visit encompasses a 24-hour period, so it would only count as one visit to pop into a Sky Club at your origin airport in the morning and one at your connection airport at midday.
And then there’s United Airlines’ United Club network, which I also visit a fair amount since I’m a Houston-based traveler. There is no cap on annual visits for those with the United Club℠ Infinite Card, which also allows cardholders to bring either two adult guests or one adult and any dependent children under 21 at no extra charge, making it a much better match for us than many more restrictive lounge networks.
