So, if you’re going to stockpile rewards for one or more upcoming trips, I recommend collecting transferable rewards instead of airline miles or hotel points.
Finally, I’m breaking my rule and stockpiling American Airlines AAdvantage miles, IHG One Rewards points and Hilton Honors points. Although these programs could devalue their rewards, I want to have Hilton points on hand for Small Luxury Hotels of the World stays, IHG points for fourth-night-reward stays and American miles for domestic awards and partner-operated awards.
