Three brand-new lounges have just been unveiled — and they’re especially exciting since all it takes to get inside is holding the right credit card.
Perhaps the most exciting of the bunch is Capital One’s introduction of an all-new lounge concept. Dubbed a Capital One Landing, this dining-focused outpost in Washington, D.C.’s Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) was designed in partnership with the famed José Andrés Group.
The celebrity chef will bring some of his favorite Spanish and Mediterranean hits to this restaurant-style lounge. From light bites to more extensive a la carte dining options, Capital One Landings should be a hit. The next Landing will open soon in New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and I can’t wait to check them out myself.
Chase joined the lounge expansion spree by announcing last week the details of two new outposts, one in Phoenix and another in San Diego. The Sapphire Lounge by The Club is now open in Phoenix, and while it’s on the smaller side, it does feature a retrofitted Airstream and an appetizing menu from local restaurant The Larder & The Delta, plus local coffee and drink options.
Chase’s next Sapphire Club will debut in San Diego on Dec. 6. This space will feature Southern California motifs (think surfboards and pretty pictures of the Pacific coastline) and a slew of amenities, including private rest pods, facial treatments and digital meditations.
In addition to these two lounges, Chase also announced opening timelines for lounges coming to Philadelphia (early next year) and Las Vegas (mid-2025).
