Winning the points and miles game means knowing some of the best ways to maximize your hard-earned points and miles.
One of the ways to stretch your credit card points for the most value is by utilizing transfer partners, especially when there is a limited-time transfer bonus that gives you even more points than normal.
American Express Membership Rewards is offering a 30% bonus when you transfer points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club. With this, you could fly from some East Coast cities to London from 8,000 transferred points each way. Or, if lie-flat seats are your goal, those would start at 37,000 transferred Amex points with this bonus, but note the higher taxes and fees with that business-class award.
Chase Ultimate Rewards is offering a 30% bonus when transferring points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and a 40% bonus when transferring to Marriott Bonvoy. With a 40% transfer bonus, you could book something like the Le Meridien Maldives in December from just 40,000 transferred points per night or the Walt Disney Swan Reserve in June from 32,000 transferred points per night (and get the fifth night free!).
Citi ThankYou Rewards is offering a 50% transfer bonus when you transfer points to Accor Live Limitless — this is a great way to maximize rewards for any European travel plans involving the Paris-based hotel conglomerate.
