Top 10 Current Credit Card Bonuses for A Round of Applications
The cards we feature here are from partners who compensate us when you are approved through our site, and this may impact how or where these products appear. We don’t cover all available credit cards, but our analysis, reviews, and opinions are entirely from our editorial team. Terms apply to the offers listed on this page. Update: Some offers mentioned below are no longer available. View the current offers here.

In the credit card game, when great offers come along, you've got to hop on them fast. Sign-up bonuses are the fastest way to rack up a lot of points or miles, and in order to maximize the great deals out there, a lot of folks apply for multiple cards in a single day.

The benefit of this is that the issuers generally won't see the applications to other issuers on that same day, increasing your chances of approvals and making it easier in the long run to track how long credit card inquiries remain on your credit report.

When you do all your applications in one day, the inquiries generally fall off your credit report in batches as well. Let me be clear here, this is not an exact science, and I don't stick to a strict quarterly schedule myself. If there's an incredibly generous limited-time offer, I'll still apply even if it's not timed to my quarterly schedule.

Although 2014 has been kind of slow in terms of high sign-up bonuses, there are several great limited-time offers available at the moment that might have you thinking about a round of applications.

Today I reported on a 100,000-mile sign-up bonus for the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite MasterCard, and earlier this month, Southwest upped the bonuses on its credit cards to 50,000 miles. All that means there are plenty of points and miles out there for the taking, and now is the time to apply.

If you're thinking about getting in on these, here are the other top offers out there at the moment you can apply for at the same time.

This is not a list of every offer on the market. For that I recommend going to the Top Deals page, and feel free to add your suggestions in the comments below.

Current Bonus: The current public offer is 25,000 points after $2,000 spend in the first 3 months – however, many people have been targeted with a higher offer of 50,000 points after spending $1,000 in 3 months through the Card Match Tool so be sure to check there first. (This offer is subject to change at anytime).
Benefits: Earn 3X points per $1 on flights booked directly with airlines, 2 points per dollar on US supermarkets, and one point per dollar on other transactions. Get a $75 Hotel Credit on qualifying charges, plus a room upgrade, if available with the Hotel Collection.

Annual Fee: $99

If you're looking for a personal card with a decent sign-up bonus and the flexibility of transferrable points, then my top pick is:

Chase Sapphire Preferred
Current Bonus: 40,000 points when you spend $3,000 in 3 months
Spending Bonuses: 2 points per $1 on travel (which includes flights, hotels, car rentals, subway, parking, taxis, etc.) and restaurants (basically any food establishment and catering) with no maximum caps.

CITI

If $450 annual fee on the current 100K Citi Executive AAdvantage card is too much, here are a couple alternatives to consider.

Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite Mastercard

Category Spending Bonuses: Earn 2 AAdvantage miles per $1 spent on eligible American Airlines purchases, 1 mile per $1 on everything else

Why We Chose It

There’s a lot to love about the Amex Gold. It’s a fan favorite thanks to its fantastic bonus-earning rates at restaurants worldwide and at U.S. supermarkets. If you’re hitting the skies soon, you’ll also earn bonus Membership Rewards points on travel. Paired with up to $120 in Uber Cash annually (for U.S. Uber rides or Uber Eats orders, card must be added to Uber app and you can redeem with any Amex card), up to $120 in annual dining statement credits to be used with eligible partners, an up to $84 Dunkin’ credit each year at U.S. Dunkin Donuts and an up to $100 Resy credit annually, there’s no reason that foodies shouldn’t add the Amex Gold to their wallet. These benefits alone are worth more than $400, which offsets the $325 annual fee on the Amex Gold card. Enrollment is required for select benefits.
