Earn 10,000 Bonus Club Carlson Gold Points For Stays At Radisson Hotels In Canada: You could earn 10,000 bonus Gold Points for the Club Carlson loyalty program on weekend stays of two or more nights at Radisson hotels throughout Canada with their "Reward Your Weekend" promotion. Stays must be booked and completed by May 31, 2014 in order to receive the bonus. Make sure to enter the promo code GPPWKND when booking in order to receive the bonus points. Keep in mind that eligible stays must include a combination of either a Friday and Saturday night, or Saturday and Sunday night.
Earn up to 10,000 Bonus American Miles: This is just a reminder that if you haven't done so already, you should play the American AAdvantage Passport Challenge game on Facebook between now and May 23 to earn up to 10,000 bonus miles. You can play trivia and other games to earn up to 700 miles, share and complete social actions to earn up to 350 miles, fly AA's expanded network to earn over 9,000 miles. When you click the link, you're taken to the Facebook app page for the sweepstakes where you must like the page and enter your name and AAdvantage number. Then there are nine little trivia games where you can earn 50-100 miles. Double Miles For ANA Mileage Club Member Stays At Hilton: If you are a member of both ANA Mileage Club and Hilton HHonors, you can earn double miles for Hilton stays between May 1-July 31, 2014. One ANA Mileage Club member who earns the most base miles during the promotion period could also win a trip for two to Hawaii with a four night stay at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort and 300,000 ANA Sky Coins which can be used to redeem for return tickets for two to Hawaii. In order to earn the double miles, you must be a Hilton HHonors member, a member of ANA Mileage Club Program, register for this promotion and select All Nippon Airways as your preferred double dip partner (directions on how to select your double dip partner here).
Reminder: Amex Virgin America 30% Transfer Bonus: American Express is offering a 30% bonus on transfers to Virgin America Elevate points until April 30, 2014. Normally points transfer at the ratio of two Amex points to one Elevate point, but with this promo, you can transfer 200 Amex points to get 130 Elevate points instead. This bonus is hard-coded so there is no need to register for it.
Hyatt Offers Targeted Bonus Promotions Via Email: Check your email because you may have a targeted promotion email from Hyatt offering you 1,000-5,000 bonus points for completing a number of eligible stays (anywhere from 1-5 stays). Most of the emails suggest that stays must be completed within May 1-July 31, 2014. You can also attempt to register for the promotion here, but only some will be eligible.
5,000 Marriott Rewards Bonus Points & More For Stays At Renaissance Paris Vendome: Marriott Rewards members can earn 5,000 bonus points and other extras by booking a specific rate and staying at the Renaissance Paris Vendome hotel by June 30, 2014. The perks include: daily breakfast for two at Pinxo Restaurant, a glass of champagne at the hotel bar Chinois, a 10% rebate card at the Galeries Lafayette Department Store, and of course the bonus miles. Emirates Launches Shortest A380 Route Dubai-Kuwait In July: Starting July 16, 2014, Emirates will send their A380 planes to fly between Dubai and Kuwait. This date also happens to be the 25th anniversary of the route. This flight will be the world's shortest A380 route at just 529 miles, taking only an hour and 45 minutes gate to gate. The Emirates A380 on the Kuwait route will offer 14 first class private suites, 76 flatbed seats in business class and 399 seats in economy class.Passengers travelling in first class have access to an onboard shower spa (but really with a one and hour 45 minute flight I wonder how many will actually shower), and both business and first class passengers have access to the onboard lounge for snacks/drinks. All classes have WiFi access.
Shangri-La Offers "Less Is More" Promotion: Shangri-La Hotels are running a discount promotion from May 2-July 27, 2014 for weekend award stays that are booked by July 27, 2104. The offer is for members of the Golden Circle, their loyalty program. The discounts are as follows: 30% off standard and club room awards and 50% off executive suite awards. Weekend stays are considered as Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The following hotels are excluded from this offer: Shangri-La Hotel, Paris, Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort, Kota Kinabalu, Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang and Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa.
Crowne Plaza Times Square Offers 10,000 IHG Bonus Points: The Crowne Plaza Times Square in New York City is offering 10,000 bonus points for a two-night stay booked by July 31, 2014. While booking, you must select the specific two-night bonus package, as this offer is not valid with just any two-night stay, you must choose the specific 10,000 point bonus stay in order to receive the extra points.
Earn Double Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Points On Car Rental Extras In May: Hertz announced a new promo where, throughout the month of May, all Gold Plus Rewards members will receive double the bonus points on all 'extras' that are added to on reservations. These include Hertz NeverLost, Fuel Purchase, SiriusXM satellite radio and insurance coverage options that are added to rentals throughout the month. No promo code is necessary, members just need to mention that they want to earn the Gold Plus Rewards when selecting these extras. You must be a Hertz Gold Plus Rewards member to earn the double points, and this offer is valid at US, Canada and Puerto Rico locations. Advance reservations are required. Bonus points are added to member's account up to 10 days from the rental return and can be redeemed immediately. Only paid charges will qualify for this promotion and earn double Gold Plus Rewards points. Modifying your reservation may result in a change in your rate and/or invalidate this offer.
HotelChatter Releases Their 2014 WiFi Report: HotelChatter has released their newest WiFi report. Included is information on which hotels have free WiFi and which don't, along with tips on how to deal if the WiFi isn't working properly at your hotel. There are several hotels that still don't offer free WiFi, and topping the list are the Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, W and Westin. In contrast, Shangri-La, Ace and Loews hotels do offer free WiFi.
