How Do I Follow The Site And How Do I Contact The Points Guy With Questions?

"How do I get in touch with the Points Guy to ask questions about miles and points, and how do I follow the site via e-mail or a feed?"

I have been asked countless times by readers how to follow the site via e-mail or a feed, or how to contact me with questions. While I would love to be able to talk with each and every one of you, with over half a million readers coming to the site every month and hundreds of questions coming in each day, unfortunately I can't answer every single question. So I decided to do a roundup of the best ways to stay in the know so that you don't miss out on any amazing deals and you can catch me on the fly.

If you want to get my posts in real time via a feed it is simple. You can follow this link or use a service like Feed Weaver to get all your links and websites in one spot. I personally prefer visiting each and every site that I like, I've got them bookmarked on my phone and on my computer, but if you're following a lot of sites then Feed Weaver will help you collect them all in the same place.

We also have a daily e-mail blast which you can subscribe to that goes out every morning, it will collect all the posts from the day before that were published after around 9:00 am. One thing I will warn you of because I have gotten a few angry e-mails about it - when there is an amazing deal going on, sometimes it only lasts a couple of hours, like the American Airlines fast-track elite status challenge promotion from earlier this week, or in January there was the American Express Platinum card 100,000 point offer. If you rely on that daily e-mail to get the breaking news, you may miss offers that are already gone by the time they publish. It is an automatic feed and I don't change it due to spam regulations, so if you sign up, you are going to get one e-mail every day from me.

The best thing to do is to follow me on Twitter @thepointsguy. You can even set an alert so that whenever I have a new post, it will text message you, although that could get a little bit too much but at least you would never miss out on a deal! We also have a TPGalerts Twitter that is only breaking top deals, so I would recommend inputting that one for SMS text message alerts since we only use it for the very best, limited-time deals, and ones you'll want to know about as soon as they break.

If you want to just keep in touch, send me your thoughts or write me questions, you can always e-mail me at info@thepointsguy.com. I do get an incredible amount of e-mails every day - which I love! - and I try to respond to as many as possible, but sometimes I just don't have enough time in the day. The site now has over 500,000 unique visitors a month, so as you can imagine, the incoming e-mails can get overwhelming, but we do have a team of people now to help and we do try to get to every one, so please be patient if you submit a question and you don't hear back from us immediately.

If worse comes to the worst and you are wondering about a specific topic or question, I might actually suggest one of two things. The first would be just go into Google and type in thepointsguy.com and whatever topic you are searching for, as there is a good chance that I have already written about your question in one way or another (and if you want me to update the post, e-mail me and I'll take it under consideration!). I've also got a great search function on the site, which you can find in the upper right-hand corner and it's powered by Google, so it's great at finding specific posts.

One great way to catch me on the fly and to get a quick response is to Tweet me. The reason I like answering questions via Twitter is that you've got to be short and sweet, so if you have a quick question, I've got a quick answer.

Remember, as much as I want to help you through your entire strategy of points and miles - and you know I'm still fascinated by the ins and outs of every specific situation since there's always something new to learn - sometimes I just can't do that for each and every person.

When it comes to helping you plan your award trips, though, luckily, there are some really fantastic award bookers out there who will charge you a small fee and help you put together the most amazing trip and save you thousands of dollars. Personally, I think you should learn to book your own awards since that is the most rewarding experience and you're your own best travel agent, but if you've got family or friends who want to pay for it then some of my favorite award bookers are Points Pros or Book Your Award.
