20 Free Roundtrip London Tickets Daily With British Airways and VisitBritain Sweepstakes
Those "You're Invited" British tourism commercials with Judi Dench and Jamie Oliver have been playing everywhere lately signaling a new VisitBritain marketing campaign, and the next foray came in the email on Monday morning when British Airways Executive Club emailed members about a new sweepstakes the airline is sponsoring with VisitBritain.
Starting Monday, March 19, and running just through Friday, March 23, the airline and tourism board will each be giving away up to 10 roundtrip tickets (for a total of up to 100) to Great Britain every day on Facebook.
The first 10 people to like British Airways on Facebook and answer a daily question posted on the Facebook page will be entitled to receive one roundtrip ticket to the UK subject to verification and compliance with the terms and conditions (see below). You can also enter through VisitBritain's LoveUK Facebook page by liking it and submitting your response on the contest page.
The first day's question was: "What attractions would you most like to visit in Great Britain and why?" So they're not brain-busters. The question went up around noon and the winners were announced around 6pm. It might make sense to monitor this around that time - you never know!
According to the T&C, the promotion is only to legal residents of the U.S. and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 or older. Tickets are based on availability at time of booking and are valid only on British Airways flights in World Traveller™ (economy) from the U.S. or Canada to London, Manchester, Newcastle Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen.
The other salient fact to note is that if you win, your flight must be booked by July 30, 2012, and travel must be completed by December 31, 2012, so be sure you can plan a trip to Britain for this year, maybe post Olympics.
