Deal alert: Fly to Gothenburg, Sweden, from various US cities from $425 round-trip
We've shared a number of great airfare sales to Europe recently. Now, there's one to Sweden — specifically the port city of Gothenburg — with round-trip fares as low as $425.
Gothenburg is Sweden's second-largest city and is a thriving metropolis home to world-class museums, restaurants and one of the best craft beer scenes on the continent. This latest deal has round-trip fares to Gothenburg from the U.S. for as low as $425.
Departure cities in this sale include Atlanta, Denver, Miami and Washington, D.C. These itineraries all have layovers, but considering the savings, it's well worth it. The travel window is from August through March of next year, so you can visit during some of the best weather of the year.
The fares in this deal are for economy tickets, which come with a free carry-on. Checked baggage will cost you around $75 each way, so those who travel light will save even more in this sale.

Sample flights
Flights from Miami to Gothenburg are available at huge discounts in this sale. You can book round-trip itineraries on British Airways from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport (GOT) for as low as $444, with a layover in London. These fares are available throughout the fall, with the best prices we saw in December.

According to Google Flights, these prices are a huge discount from normal airfare for this route.

November is a great time to score a deal on flights to Sweden from Washington, D.C. British Airways has round-trip fares from Dulles International Airport (IAD) to GOT for just $447.

The very best prices we saw in this sale were out of Atlanta. Scandinavian Airlines, better known as SAS, has flights from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to GOT in the fall for as low as $425 round-trip if you book through third-party sites.

We also found some really nice deals out of Denver. In December, you can fly British Airways from Denver International Airport (DEN) to GOT for only $447 round-trip — an unusually low price for this route.

We found the same great price for this route in March.
