Starwood Renovated Hotels 1,000 Bonus Points Promotion
Starwood is running a 1,000-point bonus promotion to get people into 25 of their newly renovated hotels.
Here's how it works. Register for the promotion at this link by June 15, 2012, and when you book a paid stay at one of the 25 participating renovated hotels and resorts in the U.S. and Canada between March 20-June 30, 2012, you'll earn a bonus 1,000 Starpoints per stay.
Per the FAQ section on the promotion site, even if you've already booked a stay for this period, as long as you register by June 15, you'll get the bonus, and if you book a stay that straddles the promotion beginning or end dates, as long as one night falls within the promotion period, you'll still get your bonus points.
There's no limit to the number of Starpoints that can be earned during the promotion period, so this could be a good opportunity for some Starwood mattress runs. Bonus points will be posted to your SPG account within 2-4 weeks of the qualifying stay. The other thing to know is that Free Night Awards and Cash & Points are not bonus-eligible stays. Even if part of the stay is award and part is paid, the member will not receive bonus credits for any part of the stay.
The participating resorts range from the budget-friendly Four Points Orlando Studio City and the Four Points Downtown Seattle Center, to the high-end W New York Union Square, St. Regis Aspen and The Phoenician in Scottsdale.
