Good news: All Qatar Airways business-class award space again showing on AA.com
There's arguably no better seat you can book using American Airlines miles than Qatar Airways' Qsuite — and it just got easier to find award space.
A few months ago, Qatar Airways' business-class award space (on flights more than 60 days out) disappeared from American's website. Now, Qatar Airways awards space is fully back. This news was first reported by Thrifty Traveler.
Here's what you need to know about booking Qsuite using American miles.
Searching for award space
To search for award space, go to AA.com. Enter your city pairs with an origin or destination of Doha, Qatar, and your travel dates, and then select "Calendar."
To keep your searches on Qatar Airways flights, select "Nonstop only" and "Business / First."
Note that if you're looking at award space to or from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), you'll also see the nonstop American Airlines flight.
American Airlines charges 70,000 miles per person one-way on flights from the continental U.S. and Canada to Doha.
The taxes and fees on these awards are nominal.
Connecting flights to South Asia require the same number of miles.
Expect to spend 5,000 miles more on one-way flights to South Africa.
If you don't have enough American Airlines miles to travel to or from North America, consider booking a flight to or from Europe. A one-way flight from South Asia to Europe is just 42,500 miles per person one-way. Taxes and fees tend to be a bit higher on these awards, however.

Bottom line
Award space for Qsuite is back on American's website, but as you'd expect, it's limited. You can travel to Doha and beyond for just 70,000 miles if you find award space.
