Fly SAS to various European destinations for as low as $340 round-trip
We've been sharing a number of summer travel deals to Europe. This latest sale is for flights in the fall and early 2025. Scandinavian Airlines, more commonly known as SAS, has slashed fares on flights to a slew of countries, including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland and Sweden.
The sale includes several cities that aren't usually seen in deals like this. So, there's potential to build an open-jaw itinerary that lets you explore several cities during your vacation.
Departure cities include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York City and Washington, D.C.
The travel window is between September and March of next year, but the best prices we found were mostly in November and December, as well as January 2025. Nearly all flights in this sale involve layovers, except for a few nonstops to Copenhagen. We spotlight a few notable ones below because of the excellent price.
The sale fares include a free carry-on. Checking a bag will cost between $75 and $85 each way. If you book a ticket on SAS, upgrade to the carrier's "Go Smart" tier, which will cost you around $25 to $55 each way. It gets you one free checked bag, and it costs less than booking the cheapest fare and paying the fee for a checked bag separately.

There is good availability in November for flights from Chicago to Belgium at significant discounts. We found this itinerary from Chicago to Brussels on SAS for just $340 round-trip, with a layover in Copenhagen.

Speaking of Copenhagen, we found a nonstop itinerary on SAS from Chicago to Copenhagen in early December for $369 round-trip.

This is an excellent price, according to Google Flights.

There is great availability for flights from Boston to Helsinki. You can book this flight on SAS in early 2025 for just $369 round-trip. Note that upgrading to SAS Go Smart only costs $60 more. If you plan to check luggage, the upgrade will save you money.

If you live in New York City, you should consider planning a trip to Belgium. In early 2025, there is good availability from JFK to BRU for $340 round-trip.

We don't typically see flights to Gdansk, Poland, in the deals we cover, but as we mentioned above, this sale includes several under-the-radar destinations. We found decent availability from New York City to Gdansk in January at $362 round-trip. If you're interested in checking out the city that's considered the gateway to the Polish Riviera, that's an excellent price for your ticket.

One of the best bargains we found in this deal was a Thanksgiving week itinerary from Atlanta to Copenhagen for only $414 round-trip. Did we mention it's a nonstop flight?

This route, during one of the busiest travel weeks of the year, typically sells for more than a thousand dollars.

Let's close out this deal with some of the more notable bargains we saw out of Southern California. You can fly from Los Angeles to Amsterdam in December for $460 round-trip.

For the same price, you can fly from LA to Stockholm in January. In fact, we saw lots of sub-$500 round-trip flights for this route in early 2025.
