Deal alert: Flights on United and Avianca to Chile from $401

United and its partner Avianca Airlines are offering deals to Santiago, Chile, from the East Coast starting at just over $400 round trip. Santiago is a South American destination that has it all, from skiing in the Andes Mountains to relaxing on a warm beach.

SecretFlying first reported this deal. These discounted fares are available from September to November.

Sample flights

The following deals are for economy seats on Avianca under the lowest price category offered by the airline (XS), which only allows you to bring a personal item for free. A carry-on will cost $100 and a checked bag will cost $80. All offers below include a stop in Bogota, Colombia, each way.

One of the cheapest deals we found is from Orlando (MCO) to Santiago (SCL) for $401 round trip. This flight is over $500 cheaper than usual for the dates below from the end of October to the beginning of November, according to Google Flights.

Flights from New York (JFK) to Santiago (SCL) cost as little as $443 round trip and have short layovers of under two hours in Bogota (BOG) each way. According to Google Flights, this deal is over $450 less than usual.

Travelers can go from Washington, D.C., (IAD) to Santiago (SCL) for $549 round-trip, cheaper by over $400 for the dates below at the beginning of October, according to Google Flights. Be warned though: There is an overnight stop over 11 hours long in Bogota (BOG) on the return flight.
