Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you're using the American Express Platinum Card, you'll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia's courtesy cancellation if you're unable to get the time away from work or family.

Summer is just around the corner, which means that many Americans are looking to plan vacations to Europe. If you're not interested in flying across the pond in coach, several airlines are offering solid deals on business-class flights from East Coast cities to Europe with flights starting at $1,842 round-trip (when you take advantage of of the AARP discount and book through British Airways). If you don't want to fly on Oneworld carriers, flights are available on both SkyTeam and Star Alliance airlines from $1,988 round-trip. Flights are generally available from June through the end of the schedule in early March 2018 from several US cities including New York (JFK), Boston (BOS), Pittsburgh (PIT) and Raleigh-Durham, NC (RDU). You can even experience Singapore Airlines' business-class product on its A380 on flights between JFK and Frankfurt (FRA). Since many airlines and destinations are involved, do your research on Google Flights and then complete booking through the airlines.
