Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you're using the American Express Platinum Card, you'll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia's courtesy cancellation if you're unable to get the time away from work or family.
As we get closer to the classic deal day Black Friday, we're seeing a slew of great travel deals. All business-class airline La Compagnie is kicking off the festivities a week early with a "Blue Friday" sale. Now through November 21, you can book flights on La Compagnie's only route between NYC and Paris for just $998 round-trip.
Note that La Compagnie only runs 1-2 flights per day between New York and Paris (CDG). If there are any maintenance issues, the airline might not have a back-up plan. So, make sure that you don't have any critically important plans around your scheduled arrival in Paris or back in New York.

Dates: November 25 — March 25. Late-December to early-January seems to either be blacked out or sold out.
