Denmark is often at the top of the list of countries in the World Happiness Report. There's plenty to smile about in this Scandinavian country from visiting famous canals and gardens to eating delicious Danishes. Tap Air Portugal is offering affordable flights to Copenhagen, Denmark, starting at $355 round-trip from five U.S. cities.

Sample flights

The deals below are for basic economy tickets on TAP Air Portugal, which include a standard seat, meal and carry-on. A checked bag, seat selection and changes will cost extra. Flights below also includes a stop in Lisbon, Portugal's capital, each way, and are all under $500 round-trip.

One of the most affordable flights we found was from Newark (EWR) to Copenhagen (CPH) at $355 round-trip from the end of February to the beginning of March.

There is limited flight availability from Chicago (ORD) to Copenhagen (CPH) at $407 at the beginning of March. There are only a handful of flights at this price in February and March.

For the same $407 price, you can fly from Washington D.C. (IAD) to Copenhagen (CPH) from the end of February to the beginning of March. Flights on this route at this price are also limited in availability.

Travelers can snag a flight from Boston (BOS) to Copenhagen (CPH) for $416 round-trip in March. There are a number of flights at this price.

Flights from Miami (MIA) to Copenhagen (CPH) at $474 round-trip are limited in availability. We found one at the end of February with layovers in Lisbon (LIS) both ways.
