I’m going to let you in on a little points and miles tip: Right now, there’s a path to earn some of the most valuable airline miles out there — fast.
American Airlines AAdvantage miles have quietly become some of my favorites to use. And between two cards right now, there’s a rare opportunity to rack them up quickly and make some incredible redemptions.
Elite status boost: After every four eligible American flights, cardholders will earn 5,000 Loyalty Points toward AAdvantage elite status. You’re limited to three boosts each qualification year.
Admirals Club access: Four Admirals Club Globe passes per calendar year (each valid for 24 hours).
✈️ Earn 75,000 bonus points and transfer to American
But the real sleeper hit and one that I keep eyeing is the Citi Strata Elite℠ Card — Citi’s newest premium card. Citi ThankYou Rewards points are the only credit card currency that can be transferred to American Airlines.
New cardholders can earn 75,000 bonus points after spending $6,000 on purchases in the first three months after opening an account, plus a suite of benefits:
$300 annual hotel credit — when booking through Citi Travel
$200 Splurge credit — good at popular brands like American Airlines, Live Nation and Best Buy
Admirals Club one-day passes — four 24-hour passes
Priority Pass membership — plus entry for two guests
