It’s hard to believe, but the summer travel rush *unofficially* begins this week. And while airfare is kind of a bummer (see our tips for booking) airlines are launching some exciting new nonstop destinations this month that might be worth a splurge.
Skip the crowds: Undiscovered Italy
You’ve probably seen (or experienced) the crowds in Italy’s tourist hot spots like Rome and Venice.
So, maybe go somewhere quieter? You can now fly nonstop from the U.S. to this beautiful and far more tranquil region along the country’s Adriatic Coast.
“Fewer singular iconic sights but full of rural Italian charm and can go toe-to-toe with the rest of the country on food,” said TPG aviation managing editor Ben Mutzabaugh, who’s just back from this more “undiscovered” Italian destination.
Island vibes, Italy version
Feeling more of an island vibe?
In just two days, Delta Air Lines will launch the first nonstop service from the U.S. to this gorgeous spot in the Mediterranean known for its beaches and delicious food (yes, Stanley Tucci went here).
