One type of currency I always want on hand is Capital One miles — that’s because they’re so easy to use. You can redeem them to cover any travel purchases you make with the card.
There are now two cards with just a $95 annual fee that earn these miles: the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and the new Capital One Venture Business — and one is currently offering a limited-time bonus of up to 150,000 miles.
Let’s see how they compare.
Different welcome bonuses: 75,000 versus up to 150,000 miles
The biggest difference between these two cards (other than one being a business card) is the current welcome bonuses.
- Capital One Venture Business: For a limited time, earn up to 150,000 bonus miles – 75,000 bonus miles after spending $7,500 on purchases in the first three months from account opening, plus another 75,000 bonus miles if you spend $30,000 in the first six months.
TPG values 150,000 Capital One miles at an impressive $2,775 based on May 2026 valuations.
- Capital One Venture: Earn 75,000 bonus miles after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.
And TPG values 75,000 Capital One miles at $1,388 — still a strong return for a card with a $95 annual fee.
Different annual credits – and one has $100 more
Both cards offer up to $120 in Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credits every four years, which is great for cards in this price range.
But the new Capital One Venture Business adds two additional annual $50 credits:
- $50 annual credit for Capital One Business Travel bookings
- $50 annual statement credit toward qualifying advertising and software purchases
Earning and using miles
Both cards earn 2 miles per dollar on everyday purchases — and both offer the same flexible redemption options.
You can use your miles at a fixed value of 1 cent each to cover travel purchases, meaning:
- Up to $1,500 in travel with the full Venture Business bonus
- $750 in travel with the Venture bonus
Or, you can transfer miles to partners like Air Canada Aeroplan, British Airways Avios or Singapore Airlines to potentially unlock even more value.
For example, with the Venture Business bonus, you could have more than enough miles for a 112,000-mile Singapore Airlines business-class saver award to Singapore, which means 17 hours to enjoy a lie-flat seat. Or, use 150,000 miles to book up to 10 one-way United domestic economy awards via Aeroplan.
So which one wins?
- Go with the newly launched Venture Business card and its up to 150,000-mile bonus if you have business expenses and can realistically meet the higher spending thresholds on this limited-time bonus.
- Go with the TPG fan-favorite Venture card if you don’t have any sort of small business and cannot meet the spending requirement for the full Venture Business bonus.
