A blockbuster new partnership between United Airlines and JetBlue was born that will allow the airlines to sell each other’s flights on their own websites and offer reciprocal benefits to loyalists. Hooray for more reciprocal benefits!
That news was exciting enough to take the sting out of the unannounced devaluation we saw from Iberia. That coveted sweet spot of lie-flat business-class seats to Madrid starting at just 34,000 Avios one-way will now start at (a still reasonable) 40,500 Avios.
