While summer doesn’t officially begin until June 20, today is Memorial Day, often thought of as the unofficial start of the season. So now is a good time to consider your summer travel plans.
Our can’t-miss summer travel checklist has a few handy reminders to help make your upcoming travels smooth sailing.
I’ve booked a few exciting trips already — I’m going to the Anjunadeep Explorations music festival in Dhermi, Albania, this June and to Salvador, Brazil, this July for the annual RoboCup robot soccer competition. Plus, I’m returning to two of my favorite Maldives resorts this August.
But it might be better if you haven’t made plans yet — or if your plans are flexible. TPG’s Sean Cudahy recently authored a story on why summer 2025 could bring air travel bargains, and I’ve already seen some excellent flight deals to both Europe and Asia.
