Here are some current offers that have our attention:
If airline miles are your focus, now is a great time to apply for the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card. As a new cardholder, you can earn 70,000 bonus miles plus Alaska’s Companion Fare ($99 fare plus taxes and fees from $23) after spending $3,000 on purchases within the first 90 days after opening your account. The Alaska Airlines Visa® Business card also has an elevated offer of 70,000 bonus miles plus the Companion Fare after you spend $4,000 on purchases within 90 days of account opening. If you already have the personal card, you may be eligible for a business card and not even realize it. Both cards let you enjoy perks like a free checked bag on Alaska flights and $100 off an Alaska Lounge+ membership.
With the Citi Strata Premier℠ Card, you can earn 75,000 ThankYou points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first three months of account opening. These points are worth $1,350 according to TPG’s January 2025 valuations, thanks to Citi’s range of 20 transfer partners. This card also earns bonus rewards in a wide range of categories — including gas purchases — making it a great way to increase your wallet’s earning potential.
If hotel nights are on your horizon, now is a great time to snag the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card. For a limited time, new applicants can earn a $150 statement credit after making their first purchase in the first 12 months from account opening, and earn 100,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening. This offer is a great way to both save some money and bank a chunk of points for future hotel stays.
If you have a small business with significant expenses, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express is holding strong at the top spot for valuable welcome offers. It’s currently offering new cardholders the chance to earn 150,000 Membership Rewards points after they spend $20,000 on eligible purchases in the first three months of card membership. This is a pretty steep spending requirement, but worth a whopping $3,000 according to our January 2025 valuations. If you’re spending that much anyway, this is a great way to get a strong return on your expenses.
May February be an enjoyable, rewarding month for us all. Stay tuned to The Points Guy for all the best welcome offers!
