I love a good airport lounge and have really enjoyed the “airport lounge wars,” in which airlines and card issuers have been one-upping each other with nicer and nicer lounges over the last decade. But the list of airport lounges that are worth visiting is ever-changing.
Right now, I have two favorite types of airport lounges.
First, there are the really nice ones you should make time to enjoy. Maybe this is your United Polaris or Delta One lounge, which you can only access if you are flying in business class on long-haul international flights.
This brings me to my other favorite type of airport lounge: the not-really-a-lounge. Sometimes, you just want a bottle of water and a snack or sandwich to bring on your next flight without paying airport prices, so I’m thrilled that United Airlines is expanding on this concept that it first debuted in Denver in 2022 — the Club Fly grab-and-go stations will arrive at my home airport in Houston next year.
You can access Club Fly with your regular United Club membership (I get access thanks to my United Club℠ Infinite Card); just pop by to grab your “free” snacks and be on your way.
