Having TSA PreCheck can be a lifesaver when traveling, especially during the busy summer travel season. With it, low-risk travelers can use the TSA PreCheck line at airport security to (usually) move through security faster and without having to remove their shoes or take their laptops out of their bags.
But even the most experienced travelers have encountered a situation where they’re heading to the airport and realize their boarding pass doesn’t have the TSA PreCheck symbol on it. What do you do?
My fabulous colleague (and fellow Tanner) has the answers, and thankfully, it’s usually a pretty easy situation to rectify. Just note, though, that not all airlines participate in TSA PreCheck, as I learned a few years ago when flying to Egypt on Royal Air Maroc and even earlier this month when flying to England on Aer Lingus, even though both flights left from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
