Denver International Airport (DEN) is now home to the largest United Airlines lounge, clocking in at 35,000 square feet. For context, the United Club that opened last year in Newark Liberty International Airport's (EWR) Terminal C is about 30,000 square feet.

The Chicago-based airline announced Tuesday the opening of the largest United Club at Denver's Concourse B, which spans three levels and has 600 seats.

Inspired by Denver's bustling beer scene, this brand-new United Club features a bar serving beer flights and has 10 local and craft beers on tap. Vestaboards that display personalized messages and menu offerings also line the lounge's bar.

Concrete covers the lounge's floors, taking cues from Denver's urbanscapes. The new lounge also has exposed ceilings and hand-crafted decor made by local artists. At the entryway, a sculpture crafted with dozens of skateboards looks like the colorful pine cones of the Colorado blue spruce.

The opening of the new and largest-ever United Club comes just after the carrier unveiled a new 24,900-square-foot ski lodge-inspired lounge at Denver's Concourse A in August.

Previously, at Denver, United only had a lounge in Concourse B, so loyal United flyers had to trek over Concourse B even if they were flying out of Concourse A. But now, with the two new spacious lounges, United flyers have convenient lounge access in both of those concourses. Those flying out of Concourse C would have easy access to the American Express Centurion Lounge found in that concourse, if they have the right card to access that lounge network.

United said around two-thirds of its passengers pass through Denver for connecting flights, and the two new lounges combined can accommodate more than double the number of passengers before.

The carrier said it also plans to open another lounge at its Denver hub in 2025, and once the third lounge opens, the Denver airport will house around 100,000 square feet (or about two football fields' worth) of United Clubs.

"The new United Club locations are designed and operated to reflect feedback from our customers and match the way their travel has evolved in recent years," said Alexander Dorow, United's head of clubs and lounges, in a statement. "We're growing our hub in the Mile High City, and the expansion and renovation of United Club locations represents our commitment to Colorado and our customers' experience."

United also debuted its grab-and-go option, called United Club Fly, at the airport in November 2022. It allows travelers to grab a quick snack or a coffee on their way to their flight.

The recent lounge expansions in Denver are part of United's efforts to double down on its Denver hub, which also happens to be one of the country's busiest airports.

Denver is also a major hub for Southwest Airlines, and as a result, United has been engaged in a turf war in an attempt to retain its dominance in the Mile High City. The new lounges are part of United's $1 billion investment to win the Denver market.

Along with the lounges, United has shared that as part of this investment, it will launch six new routes, 35 additional flights and 12 additional gates from Denver.
