United debuts redesigned amenity kits, children's pack
United Airlines is revamping its onboard experience with the debut of redesigned amenity kits.
The Chicago-based carrier will start offering newly designed kits across its Polaris business-class cabin beginning in mid-November, as detailed in an internal memo and confirmed by an airline spokesperson.
The kits, designed in partnership with wellness brand Therabody, are shaped in the outline of the casing used for Therabody's Theragun Mini. (The Theragun Mini is a popular massage gun device that's portable enough to be used during travel. It retails for $199 and is unfortunately not included as part of the amenity kit.)

There will be two variants of the redesigned amenity kits: one in blue and another in gray. There's no telling which color you'll find on your flight, so you'll just need to rack up flights in United Polaris if you want to collect them both.

The contents of the amenity kits aren't changing. Inside, you'll find an Arrive Revived kit, earplugs, a dental kit, a pen, soft tissues, a sleep mask, socks and a refreshing wipe.
As far as amenity kits go, this new design seems to be quite practical for those looking to reuse the bag during future travels. It seems like it will be the right size to store some travel gear such as chargers, cables and other essentials.
In addition to the amenity kits, United will debut an updated children's travel kit in December. United says that the new kit is designed to keep kids engaged and entertained during their journey. It will include an activity book with crayons, a flight certificate, an origami guide and a pop bracelet.

This is the latest change that United is making to its onboard experience. The airline has recently started rolling out revamped menus on premium cardstock, as well as updated bedding that eliminates single-use plastics.
United is also expected to debut revamped Polaris seats in the coming months when introducing new Boeing 787 Dreamliner cabins.
It's an exciting time to be a United flyer, and TPG will keep you posted on the latest.
