The skies have cracked open over the Northeast. Roaring thunder, dark skies and heavy winds have been frightening The Points Pups in New York City -- and cancelling and delaying flights in the impacted areas.

A severe thunderstorm watch was issued by the NOAA until 7:00pm Tuesday evening and The Weather Channel is not ruling out flash flooding and downed trees as a possibility. It's no surprise that the weather conditions are setting back travel plans. Today alone there have been 3,722 delays and 1,521 cancellations (and counting) within, into, or out of the United States according to FlightAware.
