Starwood Preferred Guest is targeting cardholders of its co-branded American Express personal card to earn bonus Starpoints for spending on their card. Eligible cardholders of the Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express who were targeted for the promotion have reported earning offers for as many as 15,000 bonus Starpoints.

The three most reported offers are as follows:

Targeted cardholders likely received notice of their eligibility via email or when logging into their Amex account. However, you can manually check to see if you're targeted for any of the promotions by clicking on the respective offers: 2,000 Starpoints, 3,000 Starpoints or 7,500 Starpoints.

For each of the offers, you must register by April 5, 2018. In order to earn the bonus Starpoints, you must complete the minimum spending requirement on your registered card by June 10, 2018. Based on TPG's most recent valuations, which peg Starpoints at 2.7 cents apiece, the maximum for each of the promotions is worth $108, $162 and $405, respectively.

Overall, this is a nice bonus from SPG and Amex, with the opportunity to earn bonus Starpoints. These types of promotions are typically targeted at cardholders who have an annual fee coming up and are used as incentive to keep the member active. Of course, that is not the case in all scenarios.
