Singapore Airlines has a sale on business class seats underway that requires booking by the end of today, February 20, but allows for travel on four specific routes during the summer months of June, July and August.

Prices start at just $1,999, which isn't a terrific deal on business class from the US to Europe, as we've seen prices as low as $1,659 on British Airways in the past. But the two routes from Los Angeles (LAX) to Seoul (ICN) and Los Angeles to Tokyo (NRT) are somewhat intriguing since they're on Singapore, a carrier with an excellent business class product.

We found the best availability on the LAX-Seoul route, with flights available at the sale price pretty much every Sunday-Thursday of the summer months.

On the other hand, the Los Angeles-Tokyo/Narita route is much more sparse, with just a handful of dates in June and August.

If you don't have $2,000 burning a hole in your pocket, the best way to take advantage of this deal might be to use American Express Membership Rewards points in conjunction with the Business Platinum Card From American Express OPEN. With the 50% points rebate benefit that you'll get with that card (and only that card), you can grab these tickets for roughly 100,000 Membership Rewards points round-trip. That's a redemption that beats pretty much any airline award chart, though you're still subject to finding availability for the fare.

The price here doesn't blow us away, as we'd rather burn miles than spend $2,000 in cash as long as we're getting decent value on an award redemption. But the Business Platinum option makes this a deal that interests us. So if you want to try to grab one of these seats, make sure you do it by the end of today!
