Frontier Airlines continues to expand its international route tree out of Atlanta with the announcement that it will soon launch service to five additional international destinations including the Bahamas, Costa Rica and Jamaica.

The budget airline will debut the new routes in the fall with limited-time fares for travel through early 2023 that start at $69.

The expansion lifts Frontier's international offerings out of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to eight cities. The carrier has more than doubled its international flights out of Atlanta in less than a year and now serves 36 nonstop destinations from the city.

"This international expansion marks an exciting milestone for Frontier at ATL," said Frontier senior vice president for customers Jake Filene. "We now offer an extensive range of flight options, including an impressive roster of international destinations, providing Atlanta-area consumers even more opportunities to enjoy our 'Low Fares Done Right.'"

The expansion news comes after the much-discussed merger between Frontier and Spirit Airlines collapsed in July. It also comes less than two weeks before the airline begins new service from its hub at Denver International Airport (DEN) to Houston's William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), a route that Southwest Airlines has run exclusively for years.

Frontier also is increasing its Florida presence. The ultra-low-cost airline is launching thrice-weekly service from Denver to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) in West Palm Beach in November. It offers $69 fares on this route, but you must book by midnight on Aug. 23.

November also sees new twice-weekly service from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Mexico's Guadalajara International Airport (GDL). This new route has introductory fares of just $89, as long as you book your ticket by Aug. 23.

As for the new routes out of Atlanta, those begin in November. The five new services are:
