Chick-fil-A is offering free (yes, free!) chicken sandwiches to celebrate the roll-out of chicken-on-demand delivery services in select markets across the United States. Having Chick-fil-A + brought directly to your house (or hotel room) is pretty much like a parenting ace-in-the-hole when desperate times call for desperate measures. Each person is eligible for one free chicken sandwich, with a total of 200,000 free Chick-fil-A sandwiches available from 1,100 of their locations nationwide through Nov. 20. You'll need to sign-up for DoorDash, the popular delivery service to get your free sandwich.

To be eligible to receive your free chicken sandwich, your delivery location needs to be within a 10-minute drive of a Chick-fil-A store. The company set that requirement to make sure you'll get a hot, fresh meal delivered to you -- nobody wants cold, soggy chicken. To order, Log in to DoorDash and search for a Chick-fil-A in your area. If there's one nearby, order yourself a chicken sandwich (I'd add some of their awesome waffle fries with a side of Chick-fil-A sauce) and apply the promo code CFADELIVERY at checkout on an order of $5 or more after 10:30am. There will be a delivery fee, which is currently displaying as $1 in our test.

If you're more than 10 minutes away from a Chick-fil-A location, or your neighborhood store is closed, you might not see the offer pop-up. But, as of this morning, my free chicken sandwich is waiting for delivery:

If you are a Chick-fil-A regular, don't forget to earn your way to elite status with Chick-fil-A to get even more free sandwiches, fries, salads and more. Top-tier Chick-fil-A elite status won't get your family a free trip to Europe, or even Cleveland, for that matter. But, it can take just a bit of the sting out of those big party trays destined for your kid's school events. Note that the Chick-fil-A One rewards may not work with DoorDash, but keep that program in mind for your in-store chicken orders.

To pile on the points, be sure and pay for the rest of your chicken order with a card that earns a bonus on dining, such as the 4 points per dollar you earn with the American Express® Gold Card or 3 points per dollar on the Chase Sapphire Reserve.
