Registration required: Earn double World of Hyatt points at Las Vegas MGM resorts
World of Hyatt is offering double points when you register and stay at one of 13 MGM resorts in Las Vegas. This promotion is valid between July 13 and Oct. 15.
To take advantage of this promotion, the terms specify that you must be a member of both World of Hyatt and MGM Rewards.
As a general World of Hyatt member, you earn 5 points per dollar on hotel stays. This promotion will credit you 5 additional bonus points, making for a total of 10 points per dollar spent.
World of Hyatt Discoverist, Explorist and Globalist members earn a 10%, 20% and 30% bonus on the base points, respectively, further increasing the number of points earned.
If you hold World of Hyatt elite status, you should consider doing a status match to MGM Rewards before you stay at an MGM property. Discoverist members are eligible for a status match to MGM Pearl, while Explorist and Globalist members are eligible for a status match to MGM Gold. Some of the key benefits of MGM Gold include:
- Waived valet parking charges.
- Waived resort fees when booking hotel rooms directly with MGM.
- Access to a priority check-in line at the front desk of MGM resorts.
- Access to a dedicated line at participating restaurants.
- VIP line access to select nightclubs in Las Vegas.
Let's say you're a Globalist member and successfully enrolled in a status match to MGM Gold. On this stay, your valet parking charges ($60 for two nights) and resort fee ($102.04 for two nights) are waived. Just note that you must present your World of Hyatt number and MGM Rewards number at check-in to qualify for these benefits.

By enrolling in this promotion, a Globalist member would earn the following on this stay:
- 1,690 base points.
- 1,690 promotional bonus points.
- 507 elite bonus points.
- Total: 3,887 points.
You'll walk away with $66 worth of points at TPG's valuation, which isn't a bad return on a stay that would cost below just $400.
