Delta Expands Transcontinental Lie-Flat Seat Service
Earlier this year, JetBlue announced that it would significantly expand its fabulous Mint product to more transcontinental flights as well as some Caribbean flights from its hubs in Boston (BOS) and New York (JFK). Delta's responded by sharing its plans to expand its own lie-flat product (Delta One) to another transcontinental route starting next spring. As of April 24, 2017, you'll be able to fly in a lie-flat seat aboard a Delta 757-200 between Washington D.C.'s convenient Reagan National Airport (DCA) and Los Angeles (LAX).

Delta first introduced its Delta One product on transcontinental flights between New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO). Since then, the carrier has expanded the product to flights between JFK and SEA and soon between DCA and LAX. At the time of this posting, we're seeing fares priced from $1,190 round-trip during the first week of the new service.

American and United both operate lie-flat service between New York (JFK and EWR) and LAX and SFO, while AA has been known to operate lie-flat 777-200s and 777-300ERs on other routes throughout the US as well.
Will you be trying out Delta's new Delta One service between Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles next year?
