Curb Free Foundation launches with the goal of granting travel dreams to wheelchair users
Cory Lee, known on social media as Curb Free Cory Lee, has utilized a powered wheelchair since he was four years old, but that has not stopped him from becoming a leader in the travel industry and visiting all seven continents.
He is a member of the TPG all-inclusive advisory panel and already shares his travel tips on his own site, as well as publications like this one. Now Cory Lee has also launched a non-profit foundation -- The Curb Free Foundation. This new foundation's goal is to help wheelchair users make their travel dreams come true.
Cory Lee tells TPG, "as a wheelchair user myself, I know how expensive traveling can be. In addition to the usual costs like flights, hotel, etc, there are added costs for wheelchair users, such as accessible transportation, costs for care attendants, accessibility-focused tour companies, and medical equipment rentals to name a few."
He goes on to share, "These added costs can be prohibitive for wheelchair users that want to travel, but The Curb Free Foundation wants to change that by providing travel grants to wheelchair users. Traveling should be something that everyone gets to enjoy, regardless of their budget or abilities."

Making travel accessible to all is a mission fully shared by TPG, so we are donating $5,000 toward the Curb Free Foundation.
There's unquestionably demand for the exact type of assistance to be provided by the Curb Free Foundation, as Cory Lee shared that over 160 wheelchair users applied for travel grants on the first day the organization launched.

As shared on the Curb Free Foundation site, "travel can change lives, push people to break out of their comfort zones, create a more empathetic world, and fill the soul with happiness."

He wants wheelchair users to be just as able to experience the magic and fulfillment of travel as those not using a wheelchair -- and so do we.
