If you're lucky, you can manage to watch an entire movie — beginning to end — over the course of a two-hour flight. On the other hand, if you're Vienna-based couple Jürgen Bogner and Nathaly Eiche, you can get engaged, say "I do" and be on the ground and ready to start your Grecian honeymoon in the same amount of time.

Last week, the couple boarded an Austrian Airlines flight from Vienna to Athens for what Eiche understood to be just a normal vacation. But, mid-flight, something strange happened. "The people in front of me starting singing Bruno Mars' 'Marry You' and they started looking at me," Eiche told ABC News. "But I didn't realize this was meant for me." It was indeed.

In what might be one of the most elaborate proposals to ever hit the open skies, Bogner got down on one knee. An ecstatic Eiche said yes — but her newly minted fiancé had bigger plans. "Then he said, 'OK, let's make this day even more special and let's get married right now on the plane,'" said Eiche. "And I was like, 'Yeah! Of course! Let's do that.'"

Fortunately for Eiche, her betrothed was an excellent planner. As soon as she had agreed to the mile-high wedding plan, the couple's family emerged from the back of the plane, where they had been sitting, unnoticed. In addition to the engagement ring, Bogner had wedding bands, an officiant, a violinist and (perhaps most importantly) a gorgeous white lace sheath dress at the ready. With no detail overlooked, the ceremony began — though the father of the bride's traditional walk down the aisle with his daughter had to be somewhat altered given the width of the airplane aisle.

"There wasn't much space so we couldn't walk next to each other," Eiche admitted. "So he walked behind me and took care of my dress."

Once they had exchanged their vows, the flight crew popped some Champagne for the happy couple and their guests — and they took their first photos in the airplane's cockpit. By the time they landed in Athens, the newlyweds were ready to start their honeymoon.

For his part, Bogner seemed to downplay the incredible amount of planning that had gone into all of this. "I wanted to do a big thing," he told ABC News. "Because you only do this once in a lifetime and in my opinion it has to be great. It's the best day of your life."

And we thought making it through all of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was an accomplishment. Our only question is: What would have happened if she had said no?
